"Many of our families are not in ideal settings spiritually. This time of the year we are able to connect with those we love so long as we are able to persevere in seeing them through their process. Every person is somewhere in the process of coming into a personal relationship with Christ. No one is so far away from Christ that they are apart from his active wooing.
God has a plan for those we love. We need to catch a glimpse of those we love from his perspective. We all need to go back to him to seek to see these dear people from a new standpoint. He is willing and able to answer the prayer, "Give me your heart for this person!" Then we follow up on this with an expectation that he is going to speak in clear ways."
